INSTRUCTIONS TO RESPONDENTS Bids are solicited for furnishing the goods, supplies, equipment and/or services as set forth in this solicitation. Bids must be received Electronically or by Sealed Bid in the Purchasing Office by date and time specified, and then publicly opened and read aloud. The undersigned agrees, if the bid is accepted, to furnish any and all items upon which
prices are offered, at the price(s) and upon the terms and conditions contained in the specifications. The period of acceptance of this bid will be 90 calendar days after the bid opening date. SCOPE: The San Antonio Water System is soliciting bids for parts and labor in order to repair, modify, and upgrade the existing Apollo Street Odor Control Unit (OCU) for an increased air flow of 6,000 cfm. The Apollo Street OCU treats sewer gas from the large interceptor sewer lines in that immediate area, and is located on the corner of Apollo Street and L C Amos Jr (formerly 97th Street), northwest of Stinson Airport. The existing Apollo Street OCU was manufactured by ECS Municipal. Work to accommodate the increased airflow includes the following: · Modify the biotower, and replace the biotower irrigation system and filter media · Modify and upsize the carbon adsorber vessel and replace the carbon media · Upsize all FRP piping to 24-inch diameter · Upsize the pretreatment grease filter, supply fan, and recirculation/nutrient pumps · Replacing the main OCU control panel and biotower water control panel · Replace and upsize the electrical conduit and wires supplying the control panels and associated equipment · Demolition and disposal of all materials and equipment removed · Successful start-up and equipment testing · Training of SAWS Operations staff and provide O&M manuals We highly recommend online submission.
