DFPS is seeking to award one or more Contracts for nine (9) DFPS Regions (excluding Regions 1 and 2). Services
may be required at different locations, such as: DFPS facilities, hotels, residential settings, or other locations within the designated DFPS Regions. DFPS may require that the Officer travel within or outside of the DFPS Region, including outside the state of Texas.Scope of WorkLimited availability of placement options has led to a number of Children without placement, resulting in temporary living locations included but not limited to hotels and facilities leased by DFPS for short terms, or other short-term acceptable settings. Contractor must be able to provide licensed Officers and prioritize the protection of the Child or Youth in various environments. The Officer’s services may involve the de-escalation and mitigation of Child or Youth’s behaviors to ensure the ongoing safety of Children, Youth, and DFPS staff.Contract TermThe initial term of any Contract resulting from this Solicitation will be one (1) year with an estimated start date of August 1, 2024. DFPS, at its sole option, may extend any Contract awarded pursuant to this Solicitation for up to four (4) one (1) year renewals.
