this project. Through this procurement, MTC seeks to hire a CONSULTANT to develop a comprehensive study that identifies and analyzes several alternatives for Bay Trail alignments in the cities of Millbrae and San Bruno in the vicinity of San Francisco International Airport (SFO), where there is currently a three-mile gap in the trail network between Millbrae Avenue and San Bruno Avenue. This effort is referred to as the SFO Gap Study, and it is bounded by El Camino Real (SR-82) to the west and SFO to the east. CONSULTANT will perform an existing conditions and conduct community/stakeholder input to develop conceptual trail alignment design alternatives. CONSULTANT will evaluate the performance of each alignment alternative using a variety of assessment criteria and assist in selecting a preferred alignment alternative and advance it through preliminary engineering (i.e., 15% design). CONSULTANT will develop a cost estimate to accompany the 15% design of the preferred alignment.
