clear, accessible public information and access to engagement tools and services online. It is the RMOW’s source of truth for public information about the municipality and the gateway for the community to connect with municipal staff and council. The site is also a resource for RMOW staff in their daily work and delivery of services to the public. whistler.ca continues to be the community’s first choice to access information about the RMOW, and we are committed to delivering an exceptional user experience for our site visitors. The RMOW is seeking Proposals to upgrade whistler.ca’s content management system (CMS) before November 2023. Whistler.ca is currently built on Drupal 7. The project objectives include: Migrating all existing content (copy, images and files) as efficiently as possible Retaining existing design, templates, functionality, accessibility and integrations in the new CMS, which may include identifying alternative modules with similar functionality or recommending updated processes Leveraging new software functionality to improve site management and usability Ensuring best practices in website security are implemented Reducing unnecessary work by avoiding the migration of outdated information and materials Testing and launching of the new website (including very few broken links) Developing training videos for functionality not used on existing website Training Communications Department staff on the administration of the chosen CMS site Maintaining the site once launched, including 24/7 support. Continuous user-focused improvement of the site.
