Tooling and fabrication of rotor blades for wind tunnel testingObjective/RequirementsThe fabrication of a series of custom designed rotor blades is required foraerodynamic performance and acoustic testing in the NASA Langley 14x22 WindTunnel. The initial blade design is to be provided by NASA and iterated with themanufacturer upon convergence to a final design.Synopsis:NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Tooling and fabrication of rotor blades for wind tunnel testing.NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to SENSENICH WOOD PROPELLER COMPANY, INC.,2008 Wood Court, Plant City, Florida 33563-6305 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has beendetermined that SENSENICH WOOD PROPELLER COMPANY, INC. is the sole provider of Tooling andfabrication of rotor blades for wind tunnel testingNASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort.Performance will be located at NASA/ Langley Research Center (LARC).The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using
the provisions, clauses and proceduresprescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.The NAICS Code for this procurement is 336413Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to theidentified point of contact not later than 1:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 3/3/2022. Suchcapabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thisprocurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort ona full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of thegovernment.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
