Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to complete a sole source award for the Cytex Aurora Laser Flow Cytometer System with Government Scientific Sources, Inc., 12351 Sunrise Valley Dr, Reston, VA 20191 for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Research and Development office, located 3801 Miranda Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304. The Flow Cytometer System must assess over 30 different parameters per cell to enable VA researchers to use a wide array of new fluorochrome combinations. This system is equipped with five lasers (355nm, 405nm, 488nm, 561nm, and 640nm), three scatter channel detectors, and 64 fluorescence channel detectors spanning the light spectral range of 365nm to 829nm. The Cytex Aurora Laser Flow Cytometer System also comes with the automated sample loader, basic start-up 2 day on site training and a one-year warranty. Government Scientific Sources Inc. is the only SB authorized distributer for the OEM Cytek Biosciences Inc. available in the USA for the Cytex Aurora Laser Flow Cytometer System. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). A Sources Sought Notice published to FBO on 5/11/2022 under #36C24E22Q0147, returned no results other than from SB Government Scientific Sources, Inc. The applicable NAICS code is 334516 with a 1000 employee size standard. The PSC is 6640.
