The University of Houston System (“Owner”) is soliciting statements of Qualifications (as defined below) for the selection of firms that offer Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering Design Services (the “Services”) in connection with new construction, renovation construction projects and renewal projects (the “Projects”). Any firm that wishes to be considered for the award of a Contract (defined in Section 2.1) for the Projects (each, a “Respondent”) must submit its Qualifications for such award in compliance

with the requirements contained in this Request for Qualifications (this “RFQ”). This is a re-bid of a solicitation issued for MEP services 06/01/2016. Owner anticipates entering into a Continuing Services Agreement (as defined in Section 2.1 below) with multiple qualified respondents to provide the Services at any future component institution and Owner’s system/component campuses listed below: • University of Houston (including Energy Research Park), 4800 Calhoun Drive, Houston, TX 77004 • University of Houston – Clear Lake, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston, TX, 77058 • University of Houston – Clear Lake Pearland Campus, 1200 Pearland Parkway, Pearland, TX 77581 • University of Houston – Downtown, One Main Street, Suite S350, Houston, TX 77002 • University of Houston Sugar Land Campus 14000 University Blvd. Sugar Land, TX 77479 • University of Houston – NW Campus, 20515 SH 249, Houston, TX 77070 • University of Houston – Texas Medical Center, 1441 Moursund St., Houston, TX 77204 • University of Houston Victoria, 3007 N Ben Wilson St, Victoria, TX 77901 • University of Houston Katy Campus - Future Projects will vary in timing, complexity, and dollar-value, and may require related planning, design, and supervisory services. The cost of each project will vary and will generally be between $5,000 and $1,000,000. The statements of qualification (each a “Qualification”) submitted by respondents to this RFQ will be reviewed based on criteria delineated in Section 5 below. The intent of the selection process is to choose the most qualified Respondent(s) based on their Qualifications. The details of each project will be identified in any Project Request as defined and issued pursuant to the Continuing Services Agreement. Some projects may require more or different services and each project may be managed by a different Project Manager (as defined in the Continuing Services Agreement).
