Notice of Public Comment Period for Proposed Changes
to the Northwest Arctic
 Subarea Contingency PlanThe Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, U.S. Coast Guard, and the Environmental Protection Agency are seeking public input on Change 2 to the Northwest Arctic Subarea Contingency Plan for Oil and Hazardous Substance Spills and Releases.  The plan contains information on emergency response notification and procedures, available resources for a spill response, and environmentally sensitive areas in the Northwest Arctic subarea.  This plan supplements the
Alaska Federal/State Preparedness Plan for Response to Oil and Hazardous Substance Discharges/Releases (the Unified Plan).  The public review and comment period extends from September 29 to October 30, 2017.The plan is available for review on the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation’s website at
