Maintenance Operations Assessment

SORTA is interested in engaging a consultant to evaluate the current state of SORTA’s maintenance department, do a comparative analysis of how maintenance is operated with other similar sized transit authorities, compare the performance of SORTA’s maintenance operations to that of other similar sized transit authorities, and then take said findings to develop a plan for improvement. BackgroundThe Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority ("SORTA"), commonly referred to as Cincinnati Metro, is a regional transit authority organized and operating under Section 306.30 et seq. of the Ohio Revised Code. As such, it is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio. SORTA provides both fixed-route mass transportation services and paratransit services.SORTA provides service to the city of Cincinnati, Hamilton County Ohio, and parts of Butler, Clermont, and Warren Counties. SORTA operates 46 fixed routes. SORTA provides fixed-route mass transportation, paratransit services, and Metro Now! on

demand service.
