The purpose of this task order is to support the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Enterprise Information Technology (IT) infrastructure through the provision of engineering support services. The prospective contractor will provide engineering, maintenance, troubleshooting, help desk and other mission critical services to support TSA's entire information technology platform. TSA uses various IT services such as computer hardware, networking hardware, voice communications, applications software, and electronic messaging to conduct mission critical communications and data processing in support of TSA operations. TSA's information technology envelope includes TSA headquarters and expands to all the deployed locations that transportation security officers operate at during the performance of their responsibilities to protect the Nation's transportation network. Without these mission critical support services, TSA would lack the ability to maintain its full mission capability as it would not be able to communicate, command, and control via its IT infrastructure assets. These services are critical for TSA to conduct its protection and counter-terrorism mission on behalf of the Nation.The services to be acquired are commercial in nature.
