Notice of Utility Tariff FilingThe REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Matanuska Electric Association, Inc. (MEA) filed TA525-18, requesting Commission approval of tariff changes to implement the Eklutna Power Purchase Agreement (Eklutna PPA), and Amendment No. 1, between MEA and the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA). With TA525-18, MEA proposes to add the Eklutna PPA to its tariff under its list of special contracts. MEA also proposes to add the purchased power costs as a new element to its Cost of Power Adjustment surcharge mechanism through which it can recover all costs associated with the Eklutna PPA.Concurrent with this filing, the MOA has filed TA379-121 to request approval of the Eklutna PPA. MEA is not requesting approval of the Eklutna PPA with TA525-18.This notice does not contain all requested revisions and the Commission may approve a rate or classification that varies from those proposed.
