Solicitation Description: The City of Leander (est. pop. 80,000), herein after “City”, seeks an agreement with a qualified Individual, Firm, or Corporation, herein “Respondent”, to design and implement an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) solution for its water utility as a turnkey solution. The City of Leander currently has over 25,000 water meters and is a fast-growing northern suburb of Austin, Texas. The city limits is approximately 38 square miles and future build-out could be double that. More information about the City of Leander can be found at 
www.leandertx.gov and the City’s Comprehensive Plan can be found at  www.leandertx.gov/planning.The majority of the water meters, including new meters, are AMR (model Neptune T10 5/8 Procoder.) The City of Leander desires an experienced and qualified professional to design an AMI solution that will be cost-effective and optimize life cycle benefits. The selected professional should also have experience managing implementation and quality control functions with previous projects. The City of Leander intends to use federal American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funds as well as supplement with its own funds. The selected professional should have experience and expertise understanding applicable federal requirements.The City has not made a decision regarding the final procurement method for the purchase and installation of the AMI solution, but any such decision must comply with State of Texas procurement laws.
