Global Protective Services (GPS) Post Industry Day Announcement

AnnouncementThe Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD-A&S), in coordination with the 409th Contracting Support Brigade (CSB), and Army Contacting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) hosted an Industry Day at Logistics Management Institute (LMI) - Tysons, VA on January 29-30, 2024, in support of the upcoming GPS requirement. International -LC Industries Inc. -Ares Defense Group, LLC -Black Security Products LLC -Continuity Global Solutions LLC -The Hana Group, Inc. -Certus Protection LLC -TC/Constellus -Paragon Professional Services LLC -Matlock & Associates, LLC -Fortified International LLCPotential vendors were provided a draft copy of the GPS Performance Work Statement (PWS) as well as drafts of the Solicitation sections L – Instructions to Offerors and M – Evaluation Factors for Award in advance of the Industry Day to generate discussion points and vendor feedback during the event. Potential vendors were briefed on the overarching concept of the GPS program, how it differs from the current program and the anticipated initial requirements, among other topics related to GPS. Potential Vendors were introduced to the Government integrated product team and given the opportunity to ask questions during an open forum Q&A session at the end of Day 1 of Industry Day. The afternoon of Day 1 was dedicated to one-on-one sessions between the Government and those Vendors that requested one-on-one sessions in advance of the Industry Day. The entirety of Day 2 of the event was dedicated more one-on-one sessions with Vendors.One Vendor, Crucible is looking for teaming opportunities with large businesses and has asked that the following be included in this notice:“Crucible is a veteran owned small business in 50 miles south of Washington DC in Fredericksburg, VA. Crucible has a 30-year history of providing pre deployment training and services in support of US government security contracts. Crucible’s facility boasts 5 live fire ranges, large classroom and indoor training areas, off road and hard surface driving tracks, and support facilities that meet the DoD directives for the storage of Government weapons and ammunition. Crucible has a suite of local partners that provide consular services, medical and dental screenings, psychological evaluations, meals lodging and transportation. Crucible’s training programs meet DoD and DoS training standards and Crucible has deployed thousands of personnel worldwide in support of Government contracts. In addition to providing task order services, Crucible is available and equipped to assist is responding to RFPs.
