San Diego, California.DescriptionThe Fleet Readiness Center South West (FRCSW) is sponsoring an unclassified Industry Event April 27th, 2022. The event will be held at The Island Club Catering & Conference Center, which is located at Naval Air Station North Island, Coronado, CA 92118. The purpose of this event is to provide Industry partners with insight into FRCSW's facility and manufacturing equipment capabilities. The intent is for FRCSW to partner with private industry via Commercial Service Agreements
(CSA) and provide unique manufacturing services that aren’t currently offered in the commercial sector.Fleet Readiness Centers (FRCs) provide depot Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul, and Upgrade (MRO&U), In-service Repair (ISR), and manufacturing services in support of fixed and rotary wing aircraft, aircraft engines, aeronautical components, and support equipment across the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE). During the FRCSW Industry Day event, a tour of the FRCSW facilities and equipment will be conducted to allow industry partners an opportunity to view current operations and capabilities.This event will begin at the Naval Base Coronado Visitor Control Center (VCC) located in San Diego, CA. Government representatives will meet participants outside of the base at the Visitor Control Center, located just to the left of the main gate (Gate 1) at NB Coronado on 4th Ave, Building 680, starting at 0800 PST. While at NAS North Island, all attendees must comply with all base and safety regulations. Temperatures will be taken before entering the building. Masks shall be worn at all times while on the military installation in accordance with the the Centers for Diease Control and Prevention (CDC) & DoD Guidance.Upon check-in at the VCC, participants will receive a nametag and the schedule of events that are planned for the day. Participants will be bused from the VCC to the FRCSW meeting location and Tour site.Please note there will be walking involved during the tour within the facility. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the form of safety glasses and ear plugs will be provided by the Government to vendor partners. Individual participants must wear flat, closed toe, closed heel shoes to tour the production areas of the facility. Steel toe shoes are required in some shop areas but will not be provided by the government.The tour will follow the general itinerary as outlined below, April 27th, 20220800-0830: Check-in at Naval Base Coronado Visitor Control Center (VCC)0845-0900: Bus participants to Island Club Catering & Conference Center (bldg. Participants who plan on attending must notify the FRCW Points of Contact (POCs) listed below of their intent to attend via e-mail. FRCSW Security Department require that all visitors attending be properly vetted before given access to the base.
