1 FISCAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT PURCHASING DIVISION Kent County Administration Building, 300 Monroe Avenue N.W., Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503-2289 Phone: (616) 632-7720 Fax: (616) 632 -7715 Email: purchasing@kentcountymi.gov SOLICITATION Solicitation Type Request for Proposal (RFP) Solicitation Number 4827 Description Front End Rubber Tire Loader Date of Issuance 7/26/2022 Buyer Name Underhill INTRODUCTION The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting proposals for one (1) used, demo or new rubber tire loader (loader) for Kent County Department of Public Works for the Waste-To-Energy (WTE) site located at 950 Market Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. The rubber tire loader will be used for scooping and carrying ferrous, movement of wet heavy ash, transport and dumping of ash containers around and throughout the facility. Equipment design and manufacture must conform to all MIOSHA and other applicable governmental regulations now in effect or announced regulations for which effective dates are established and proposed. The Bid Opportunities solicitation date/time is for informational purpose only. Kent County will begin to evaluate proposals one week after solicitation issuance. After that time, all subsequent proposals will be evaluated at time submitted. The solicitation will be closed once suitable equipment is identified. Respondents may submit multiple proposals for more than one piece of used, demo or new equipment. The Specification is provided as general application guidelines. Kent County reserves the right to request specific design package modifications for new equipment proposals. SPECIFICATION The loader is replacing a Volvo L120 with 4 yd bucket. This request seeks to replace the loader with a similar sized, used, demo, or new machine with not more than 10k hours, and with a warranty. Delivery is desired at soon as possible and no later than December 15, 2022. Kent County reserves the right to request additional information or product demonstration it may deem necessary as part of the evaluation process. Kent County reserves the right to negotiate or counteroffer for the equipment and any accessories purchased. Kent County, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to award to the Respondent whose response is deemed most advantageous to Kent County. The Kent County Standard Submission Terms posted on the Bid Opportunities page of the Kent County Purchasing Division website are incorporated by reference into the solicitation. No payments will be made until equipment has been delivered, inspected, and accepted. The delivery date should be included within the proposal. PRE-SUBMISSION ON-SITE INSPECTION A pre-submission conference will not be held for this solicitation. Respondents may request an on-site inspection by appointment only. Kent County does not guarantee on-site inspections will be granted for all requests.
