The High Service Pump Chemical System treats water from the Surface Water Treatment Plant, Brandon Urban Transmission Main, and Desalination Transmission Main. The three sources of water arrive at the pump station and chemical is injected at different locations before and after the pumps. This project will replace the chemical piping (sodium hypochlorite and ammonia hydroxide), the chemical pumps, and the addition of a new injection location. This will be the only pre-bid & site visit tour offered. Contractors will need to drive to the location in their own vehicles and should dress in appropriate comfortable field tour attire (long pants and closed toe shoes). Tampa Bay Water reserves the right to cancel the site visit if inclement weather or wet/muddy road conditions warrant cancellation.
