The Library of Congress (Library) Preservation Directorate requires contract support to purchase microform supplies. The Preservation Reformatting Division provides access to at risk Library materials by converting items to new formats such as microfilm. The Library provides microfilm for customers and in-house custodial divisions for service copies. In the event that a microform gets damaged or lost, the Preservation will use the supplies to create a duplicate microform. Duplicates of the master negative and the archival get damaged and will require duplication for replacement as needed. The Library supports the duplication of microfilm for external patrons. The purpose of microfilming is to aid in preserving the information and reproduce copies.Offeror questions are due by 02/16/2024 at 12:00 PM EST.
