Buyer Contact: Kathy Bradley kbradley@fortoglethorpega.gov 706-806-0537 Description: General The City of Fort Oglethorpe is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to Engineering Firms with a strong record in successfully assisting local governments with engineering services for Federally Assisted Projects. Responding firms should be qualified to provide a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER), design, construction administration, and related services for water improvement projects utilizing federal funds. Scope of Work Plans are to contract, within a year from the date of this notice, a reputable Engineering Firm for a Preliminary Report, Environmental Assessment, and Design and Construction Administration services for a Federally Funded Project related to economic development. Current needs include preparation of a preliminary engineering report for a grant application for Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) funding related to water system improvements. The proposed project will consist of upgrading and/or replacing selected water lines in the historical district of downtown Fort Oglethorpe, along with upgrading and renewing storm water infrastructure in the same area. If awarded, the selected firm would be expected to provide engineering services including design, environmental review, construction administration, and related services in support of the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC).
