Solicitation Description: The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking applications for Employer and Community-Based Organization Partnerships Initiative from Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) who, in partnership with employers, will assist Texans in moving into the workforce and away from reliance upon Public Benefits. The program must target Texas residents who are without permanent housing, Homeless, and Unemployed, and move them into Regular Employment. Connecting people with job training and employment assistance programs can help provide to
individuals needed skills for long-term stability and self-sufficiency. The likelihood that individuals will retain Regular Employment increases with access to supportive services such as transportation and child care. Recognized program practices for increased success include a comprehensive approach with integrated services including transition and housing support.
