Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Title I-B (WIOA)Youth Program Request for Grant Applications (RGA) State Fiscal Year 2024 PublicNoticeThe Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Alaska WorkforceInvestment Board requests WIOA Youth program grant applications for projects thatprovide eligible youth ages 14-24 access to education, training, and supportservices. Services must lead to credential attainment, high school completion,and placement in employment or post-secondary education. The WIOA Youth program,funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, provides the basic infrastructure for stateyouth workforce development projects in Alaska. The program providesopportunities for both in-school and out-of- school youthwith significant barriers to employment and education; prioritizing services toout of school youth. Participants must meet specific barriers defined in the WIOAYouth Program EligibilityPolicy 07- 502.2. Non-profit or for-profit organizations, school
districts, educators, industrytrainers, employers, community services agencies, Alaska Native Organizations,and other organizations with the capacity to provide the services identified inthe RGA are encouraged to apply.
