PORT OF BELLINGHAMLITTLE SQUALICUM HABITAT BEACH RESTORATION NOTICE OF BIDNotice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Little Squalicum Habitat Beach Restoration located in Bellingham, Washington will be received at the Administrative Offices of the Port of Bellingham, 1801 Roeder Avenue, Bellingham, Washington until 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2022. The official time shall be taken from the designated clock at the Administrative Offices. Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. Bids will then and there be publicly opened and read aloud. The scope of work for this project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the project identified above including the following major work items:Base Bid Schedules 1 & 2:The Base Bid Schedules 1 & 2 includes all work generally as follows:Remove and dispose or recycle concrete rubble and other debris from the armored slope.Excavate, separate and dispose of topsoil, wood waste and
sand fill materials as shown on the Drawings.Procure and place imported rip rap material as shown on the Drawings.Procure and place imported filter rock, beach cobble and large wood material as shown on the Drawings.Place beach gravel material stockpiled by others as shown on the Drawings.Repair existing stormwater pipe.Procure and place crushed surfacing in the trail and parking areas.Install rail fence, regulatory signs, and removable bollard.Procure and place mulch, topsoil, and riparian plantings in landscape area.Re-seed disturbed areas upon completion of the project.Bid Additive A Schedule:The Bid Additive A includes all work generally as follows:Remove and dispose or recycle concrete rubble and other debris from the armored slope in Additive A work area limits.Procure and place imported rip rap and filter rock material as shown on the Drawings in Additive A work area limits.Bid Additive B Schedule:The Bid Additive B includes all work generally as follows:Procure and stockpile (if necessary) beach gravel within the work area limits to supplement existing stockpiled gravel materials (stockpiled by others) if volume is insufficient to complete the project as shown on the Drawings.Bid Additive C Schedule:The Bid Additive C includes all work generally as follows:Procure and install barrier-style driveway gate at the entrance of the parking lot as shown on the Drawings.A non-mandatory pre-bid conference for prospective bidders will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Port of Bellingham’s Administrative Offices located at 1801 Roeder Avenue, Bellingham, Washington 98225.
