SummaryPierce County intends to contract with qualified organizations for the following funding based on successful proposals:Funding from the 1406 Affordable Housing Sales Tax Fund (1406), 2060 Affordable Housing Document Recording Fee Fund Program (2060), and the HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), is made available to support the development and preservation of affordable housing in Pierce County. The amounts listed are anticipated funding amounts. At its discretion the County reserves
the right to change the anticipated funding amounts included in this NOFA. 1.2. BackgroundHuman Services, in partnership with the Pierce County Community Development Corporation (CDC) provides financing for the development and preservation of affordable rental housing and the development of homeownership opportunities, all to benefit low-income households in Pierce County. The CDC Board is made up of eight members of the community who volunteer their time and efforts. Each member represents a professional discipline, including banking, accounting, law, construction, commercial development and real estate. The CDC Board is a decision-making body that approves business and housing loans, policies and procedures and other financial transactions related to the CDC.1.3.
