Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Public Works Department of the City of Dublin, 100 Civic Plaza, Dublin, County of Alameda, State of California, 94568, until the hour of 2:00 p.m., on January 18, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in City Hall of the City of Dublin, 100 Civic Plaza, Dublin, California, for the “Project” entitled: Public Safety Complex – Police Services Building (“Project”) Project No. gi0116 This project generally includes: furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and services necessary to perform the construction and installation of the following: selected demolition of existing sitework and buildings at the City of Dublin Public Safety Complex site, new sitework, new single story building construction, and extensive remodel and tenant improvements of existing building construction. All work will be built to essential services building standards. Included are: electrical, emergency power, mechanical, plumbing, security and structural improvements; parking lot improvements; relocation of site utilities; civil and landscape improvements. Phase 1 of the project reestablishes utility service to the existing Alameda County Fire District Administration portion of the project so that Phase 2 demolition, new construction and renovation can occur without interrupting its operation. Alternates include expanding the emergency power system, improving additional areas within secured parking, adding exterior louver screens, and adding carports. The project is designed for LEED certification, as shown on the Plans, Specifications, and other Contract Documents entitled as shown above, now on file in the office of the City Engineer. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: A complete Notice Inviting Bids and complete bid packages, including project plans, technical specifications, bid forms, and contract documents, to be used for bidding on the Project, and the plan holders list can be acquired through BPXpress Reprographics at www.blueprintexpress.com/Dublin or by calling (707) 745-3593. Bid packages are available for viewing at several builders exchanges. A complete list of exchanges is available online at www.dublin.ca.gov/PlanRoom. All bidders must possess a valid class B California contractor’s license and bids must include bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount.
