Davis School District is requesting bids for the construction of a pole barn at the Catalyst Center at 1265 Sportsplex Drive, Kaysville, UT 84037. 

Completion Date: 4-6 months after award.   

Bid Bond is required at the time of the bid and Performance and Payment Bonds will be required after the RFB is awarded.

Added on May 23, 2022:Changed the bid due date from June 7th to June 2nd.  Questions and answers are due by May 31st.  
Added on May 26, 2022:An alternate line item has been added to the bid.  It came to our attention that the

current pole barn design is nonstandard and may need custom support poles and engineering.  

The District will allow for some modifications to the current drawings.  The new line item will allow a vendor to quote a more standard 18ft or 20ft sidewall pole barn.  The garage doors and the porch will need to maintain a clearance of at least 14ft H x 12ft W.  A higher clearance is acceptable.  There should be a separation of the porch roofline and the main roofline to keep it aesthetically pleasing.  The pitch of the porch and roof can be modified as needed to maintain a 14ft tall porch and garage door.  The District would also like the east porch support beams to be engineered out of the way of the garage door in order to maintain full access.    


The pole barn will be used to teach students general construction practices by building tiny homes.  The homes will be built and staged both inside and outside under the porch.  
The tallest point for a tiny home will be 13 feet 6 inches. 
The widest a tiny home will be is 10ft.
Maintaining clearances for the tiny homes both inside and out is crucial.
