- SPRUCE PARK RENOVATION\n\nSealed proposals will be received at the office ofthe City of Wheatland, located at City of\nWheatland, 111 C Street, Wheatland, CA 95692, until 2:00 pm local time on Tuesday, June 7,\n2022, or such later date as may be set by addendum, and then will be publicly opened and read for\nthe construction of the following public works project:\n\nSpruce Park Renovation -The work, in general, to be done under this contract\nconsists of a partial renovation of the existing park including adding trees, shrubs,\npicnic tables, play spinner, half court and basketball hoop and grading alterations\nincluding drainage swales to reduce plant water requirements at the park located at\nthe intersection of Spruce Avenue and McDevitt Drive in Wheatland, CA. Project\nis Grant Funded. Construction Estimate is $190,000.\n\nThe contract documents for the Project, including the public works construction contract,\ninstructions to bidders, bid forms, and plans and specifications,
may be examined at the City office,\nwith prior notice to the City\u2019s representative, located at 111 C Street. A copy of contract\ndocuments may be obtained at the City\u2019s office upon request and a non-refundable payment of\n$60. They may also be viewed and downloaded from the Online Plan Service and its affiliated\nBuilders Exchanges and CIPList.com. Bidders must comply with the Instructions to Bidders.\n\nThe City will hold a pre-bid conference at the site of the project at the intersection of\nSpruce Avenue and McDevitt Drive in Wheatland, on Tuesday, May 24th at 11:00 am. It is\nsuggested that each prospective bidder review the bid documents and project site prior to the pre-\nbid conference. Attendance is recommended but not mandatory.\n\nQuestions should be sent to Melton Design Group, Inc. to Daniel@meltondg.com no later\nthan Spm on Monday, May 23. If necessary, an addendum will be issued by Thursday, May 26.\n\nEach Bid must be submitted on the prescribed forms and accompanied by cash, a cashier's\ncheck, certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form payable to the City in an amount\nnot less than 10 percent of the amount bid.\n\nThe successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond and faithful performance\nbond each in the full amount of the Contract price, and insurance with certificates and\nendorsements of insurance, as provided in the Contract Documents. The required bonds must be\nprovided only by a surety insurer who is admitted to do business by and in good standing with the\nCalifornia Department of Insurance.\n\nBidders are hereby notified that in accordance with Public Contract Code section 22300,\nsecurities may be substituted for any monies that the City may withhold pursuant to the terms of\nthis Contract to ensure performance.\n\nThe successful bidder must possess the following classification or type of contractor's\nlicense issued by the Contractors State License Board: Class A or C-27.\n\nTo be qualified to bid on this Project, bidders must be registered and qualified to perform\npublic work with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant section 1725.5 of the Labor\nCode. All subcontractors listed in a qualified bidder\u2019s bid as performing any portion of the work\nalso must be registered and qualified with the Department of Industrial Relations.\n" "The attention of bidders is directed to the requirements and conditions of employment to\nbe observed and prevailing wage rates to be paid to all workers employed under the Contract in\naccordance with Labor Code sections 1770 and following. Copies of the prevailing rate of per\ndiem wages are on file at the City's office and will be made available to any interested party on\nrequest.
