REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI): THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) is issuing this RFI to determine capability and industry feedback of companies from all socioeconomic categories in providing Electric Breast Pumps for In Home Use. SCOPE OF WORK: The intent of this action is to streamline procurements of Electric Breast Pumps and accessory items for In Home Use across the VA and to establish a contract that will be utilized on an enterprise-wide level. The Veterans Health Administration is America s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,240 health care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,061 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year. MINIMUM TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (MTRs): The Electric Breast Pump shall meet the following MTRs: Double-electric breast pump Storage bag Battery Pack Speed/vacuum (suction)
adjustments for multiphasic pumping Removable cooler bag with ice pack All parts that touch breast milk are BPA free Contain Instructions for cleaning Contain Instructions for use AC adapter power Storage and collection bottles with lids Breast shield connectors Tubing flanges Valves Spare parts orderable as necessary Manufacturer s warranty on motor Manufacturer s warranty on parts SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: This RFI does not constitute a Request for Quotes (RFQ) and/or Request for Proposals (RFP). Submission of any information in response to this RFI is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Note that the VA email file size is limited to 6 MB. Do not compress (zip) RFI responses.
