Attention HVAC Vendors:Offutt Air Force Base is looking for your help in identifying potential solutions to their HVAC needs for our extremely large Gymnasium known as the Field House. Currently, we are looking for your thoughts and ideas to help us understand what options are available to heat and cool the building which we can use to better understand our requirements for a potential contract opportunity in the future. The Field House is an 80-year-old building with no HVAC system, no insulation in walls or roof, brick walls that are not sealed and are subject to leaking. The facilities inside dimensions are 9000' long X158' w x 30' h in a rectangle shape, the walls are made of brick, floors are cement and roof, and trusses are made of wood and were reinforced in 2013.The average temperature within the Field House during summer months (June - Sept) is 90 degrees, fall temps Oct - Dec are in the low 70's, winter temps are 62 - 68 and spring are mid 60's. The overhead fans reduce the inside temperature approx. 5 degrees, the radiant heaters do little to no good unless you are directly underneath them.Total Facility 225K sq. ft.Inside facility dimensions are equal with no height or width differenceUsable inside floor space is 9000k' x 150' = 135K sq. ft. – insidePlease provide you ideas on addressing our HVAC needs in the most efficient and economical
