The work includes construction of a complete ground source heat pump system including ground water extraction and injection wells, pumps, heat exchangers, heat recovery chillers, power, controls, communications, and other supporting infrastructure. The system shall be integrated with existing chillers and boilers to provide heated and chilled water to Portland International Airport (PDX) for use in the HVAC system, with a much higher energy efficiency and a greatly reduced carbon footprint.
