Sources Sought: AG-6395-S-19-00001 Emergency Responses Services For NVSL ProgramThe United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), National Veterinary Stockpile (NVS) is seeking information regarding companies capable of managing large numbers of diseased poultry, livestock and/or feral swine carcasses and associated waste (manure, bedding, litter, and other contaminated materials). For the following: Animal Carcass and Waste Disposal CompaniesVendors who can depopulate livestock Depopulation Technology Capable of Humane Mass Depopulation of Large Quantities of Livestock- Feral Animals- DiseasedThe NVS’ ability to deploy within 24 hours large amounts of critical veterinary resources ensures States have what they need to respond to catastrophes and other outbreaks.  Disposal of animal carcasses and the associated waste is an important tool for controlling catastrophic animal diseases.  Carcass management, or
the disposition of livestock carcasses, could occur by several means including, but not limited to burial (deep or above ground), incineration, rendering, composting (indoor or outdoor), and/ or landfill.  Contaminated animal wastes may also be included in the disposal process.  The method of disposition would be approved by a government entity.The NVS is seeking businesses who can manage the disposal of large quantities of livestock (i.e. cattle, bison, swine, feral swine, poultry, or other animals) and/ or their waste in response to an animal health emergency such as a catastrophic infectious disease. The NVS seeks a company capable of the humane depopulation of large quantities of livestock (i.e. cattle, bison, swine, feral swine, poultry, or other animals) in response to an animal health emergency such as a catastrophic infectious disease.  The depopulation company should meet the following:Sources who respond to this notice are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The applicable NAICS Codes are: 562910., This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP); therefore, no proposals will be accepted, and no contracts will result from any submission. The government will not award a contract based on the information received; nor will we reimburse participants for information provided.  Information requested is strictly voluntary and is for planning purposes only.
