(i) Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, and brand-name or industrial mobilization).Contract Award Date: TBDContract Award Number: TBDSynopsis:  This is a Sole Source synopsis published for informational purposes only.The United States Air Force Test Center/Directorate of Contracting (AFTC/PZZE), Edwards AFB, CA intends to issue a sole source contract to Modern Buildings System, Inc. for the renewal of the previously leased 24” x 60” portable trailer and its repairs.. The contract will be executed by means of other than full and open competition, due to

the need to maintain the existing trailer located at Edwards AFB already used by the JSE team.In order to comply with FAR 5.207(c)(15), the reason for lack of competition is as follows:The trailer is currently owned by Modern Buildings System, Inc. and is leased to the United States Air Force out at Edwards AFB.  This trailer is already currently in place from a previously awarded contract and has been in use for over 4 years so all requirements of government use are met making the continued lease from Modern Buildings System, INC in the best interest of the Government.It is in the best interest of the government to continue using the trailer as to ensure no stoppage of current flight operations due to lack or trailer or the removal and installation of a different trailer.
