target="_blank">https://chathamnc.seamlessdocs.com/f/ChathamJobApplication Job Summary Under general supervision, duties include inspecting all trades in residential and commercial buildings and structures to enforce compliance with the North Carolina State Building Code and Chatham County ordinances. Must be tactful and firm in dealings with the public. Minimum Qualifications Preferred applicants will possess Level III license in building, plumbing, electrical or mechanical trades or ability to obtain standard certifications from DOI within two years of hire. Applicants must have a minimum graduation from high school or GED, supplemented by 2 years related technical/ college training in construction. Must have considerable skill in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, specs and performing required mathematical computations. Ability to operate personal computer and prepare, organize and maintain inspection data, reports and systems. Must possess a valid NC driver’s license prior to employment and maintain good driving record.
