USAID Small Business *Virtual* Subcontracting Matchmaking Event 2021

The U.S. Agency for International Development, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (USAID/OSDBU), and the Virginia PTAC are hosting a “VIRTUAL” small business subcontracting matchmaking event on June 17th, 2021.USAID is the lead U.S. Government agency that works to end extreme global poverty and enable resilient, democratic societies to realize their potential.Small Businesses that are interested in USAID opportunities are encouraged to participate in the afternoon portion. The event is centered on connecting small businesses with large business stakeholders that have and seek to secure substantial contracts with USAID.This event is hosted to support small business firms from all socio-economic categories that are interested in supporting USAIDs mission.Large Businesses aka “Other Than Small” (hosts only) will participate in the morning session via GoToWebinar featuring presentations from: USAID, Virginia PTAC, and the SBA to assist with your efforts to meet

subcontracting goals. Presentations will take place from 9:30 AM to 12 Noon (Eastern Time). After a break for lunch, afternoon matchmaking with small business vendors is from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Eastern Time). Contact ptac@gmu.edu for details if, as a host, you are not available for the entire matchmaking period to determine your options to participate. All LARGE primes (other than small) seeking to network with small business companies, regardless of existing USAID prime contracts, are encouraged to participate to provide additional matchmaking opportunities for interested USAID subcontractors. The registration link for Large Business Participants (Other Than Small) is attached to this announcement. Small Businesses (matchmaking attendees only) will participate in matchmaking from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Eastern Time)Due to limited space, registration will be on a first come basis and is limited to 2 tickets (and a separate set of appointments per ticket) per small business. The ceiling on appointments will vary depending on host participation and may increase as the date of the matchmaker approaches. Important dates and pre-recorded informational sessions pertinent to this event can be found on the registration page, via the registration link attached to this announcement, and additional details will be communicated by Virginia PTAC to the attendees as the date approaches.
