The Hulsebosch Hope Foundation(HHF) aims to provide program grants to mid-size, growth-oriented 501(c)(3) public charities in the city of Chicago that offer creative ways to enhance life and opportunity in under-resourced communities, particularly on the south and west sides of Chicago. Organizations that have not previously received a grant from HHF must meet the following requirements: a focus on one of the core areas of quality education, meaningful work and economic growth, fostering a sustainable community, good health and well-being in the areas of care and support of children, and increased access to mental health care. Grants awarded will be between $7,500 and $20,000.Applicants must be located in the city of Chicago and serve under-resourced communities—especially on the south and west sides of the city—a certified public charity in good standing with the IRS, and looking to grow the organization’s impact in Chicago.HHF will begin accepting phase one prospective grantee surveys on May 1, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. CT, with phase one to close on May 15, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. CT or until the foundation gets 20 complete submissions. HHF will contact applicants to set up a video conference to determine alignment between the organization and the HHF mission and goals between May 23 and July 15, 2024. Invited nonprofit organizations will complete the 2024 phase two program grant application by August 14, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. CT, and HHF will contact organizations to schedule a site visit to take place between July 8 and August 22, 2024.
