The project includes, but is not limited to: clearing and grubbing, water management, excavation and grading, installation of a boat launch and landing, rock slope protection, installation of aggregate base, installation of concrete, installation of asphalt, installation of piles, installation of a vault toilet, revegetation, and traffic control.A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will begin at

Sealed bids will be received by the City Manager’s Office, 736 F Street, Arcata, CA 95521, until the hour of 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at which time they will be transferred to the City Council Chambers where they will be publicly opened and read aloud by the City Engineer or his designated representative. Said bids will be referred to the Arcata City Council for consideration at their next regularly scheduled meeting on or after March 15, 2023. This CONTRACT is subject to State contract non-discrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. The City of Arcata hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The above project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Each contractor or subcontractor listed on the bid proposal must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the Director of California Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of wages. Bidders should contact the Department of Industrial Relations at (415) 703-4281 for General Prevailing Wage Rates on specific job classifications. Future effective wage rates, which have been predetermined, are on file with the California Department of Industrial Relations. Bidders are advised that if they intend to use a craft or classification not on file in the general wage determinations, they may be required to pay the wage rate of that craft of classification most closely related to it as shown in the general determinations.
