ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Proposals will be received in the office of the City Engineer, 125 E. Sixth Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040 until 11:00 a.m., Local Time, on June 22, 2012 and publicly opened and read at that hour and place for the construction of: CITY OF MARYSVILLE UNI-MARYSVILLE SRTS INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT The project consists of the following: Installation of approximately 1800 L.F. of sidewalk on Hickory Drive: Installation of approximately 1650 L.F. of sidewalk on North Maple Street Miscellaneous curb ramp, striping and signage improvements throughout the City. Installation of nine (9) bike racks at multiple school locations Proposal Documents are available for review at the Office of the City Engineer, City Hall, 125 East Sixth Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040 without charge. Copies may be obtained from the City of Marysville upon a non-refundable deposit of $75.00 for each set of bid documents. The check is to be made payable to the City of

Marysville. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Due to the public location of this work, bidders may inspect the project area and existing facilities at any time. Any questions can be directed to the City Engineers Office at 937-645-1029. All formal bids shall be submitted using a set of bid documents purchased from the City of Marysville. Partial sets of Bidding Document will not be available. The City of Marysville will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Proposal Documents, including any addenda obtained from other sources. Bidders shall be ODOT pre-qualified to perform the work specified in the contract documents. Bidders shall comply with all statutory requirements in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder shall be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates established by the U.S. Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act. Each Bidder must deposit with its Bid, a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a bond for an amount of 100% of the Bid if in the form of a Bid Guaranty or in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid if in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or irrevocable letter of credit, for and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders and pursuant with ORC Section 153.54, 153.57 and 153.571. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
