The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to MesaLabs. This requirement is to expand NCIRD’s automated temperature monitoring and notification system to building 18 on the Roybal Campus. The vendor will provide and install all necessary devices and peripherals required to expand NCIRD’s monitoring capabilities for recording temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels in necessary laboratory areas, including open laboratory rooms, refrigerators, freezers, and incubators.  This will include a network of temperature transmitters, laboratory receivers, and centralized servers to collect data and generate graphs and reports; remote access and notification capabilities; and door sensors to indicate when equipment is opened, closed, or left ajar. The vendor will provide all necessary software and hardware, covering monitored equipment, rooms, and doors. This contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.5 and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1).  Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.  A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist at tesslinger@cdc.gov by COB February 16,
