Municipal Trails – P-Gate Installation

P-Gate Installation – Item No. 1 P-Gates in accordance with the specifications listed on drawing ‘DET-1’ shall be supplied and installed at six (6) new locations throughout the Municipality of Clarington as directed by the Contract Administrator. The Contract Administrator shall provide a layout schematic and/or direction as to the placement of the P-Gates at each location prior to the commencement of any work under this Item. The proposed locations are as follows: o Bennett Road – Waterfront Trail access immediately east of Bennett Road o Service Road – Waterfront Trail access west of Service Road, immediately east of the existing pedestrian bridge o Cobbledick Road – Samuel Wilmot Nature Area Trail access immediately east of the Cobbledick Road

terminus o Toronto St. – Samuel Nature Area Trail access immediately west of Toronto St., 200m north of Milligan Street o Baseline Road – Bowmanville Creek Trail access at the north limits of the gravel parking lot. o Old Scugog Court – Multi-use path access at the terminus of Old Scugog Court. The successful vendor may be required to obtain Road Occupancy Permits free of charge from the Municipality of Clarington prior to undertaking the work. All traffic controls required to be utilized to successfully complete the work will be conducted as per Ontario Traffic Manual – Book 7. A drawing schematic for each of the above listed locations has been provided for reference. Note that the locations of Cobbledick Road and Toronto Street are presently undergoing trail paving. The location of Old Scugog Court is presently undergoing road reconstruction. P-gate installation works shall commence once works within these areas have been completed.
