Sawgrass WTP Facilities Maintenance Building

The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the construction of a new maintenance building of approximately 2000 square feet with offices, a large storage room for non-hazardous parts and supplies, and support spaces for the building. The new building is separated from the existing by a ten feet wide covered breezeway, and the outdoor covered space extends in front of the new building to provide a 560 square foot covered work area to repair equipment in the shade and protected from the elements. Two smaller concrete satellite pads and a network of concrete slabs shall be removed to accommodate the new building and development. The existing building and systems are to remain in the one-story CBS structure with precast concrete tee roof structure. to the new building and expanded site development will be fed from existing electrical service / panels serving the existing building. A new independent HVAC system will be provided for the entire new building and water and sanitary lines shall be fed from and connected to existing utilities that serve the project site. The parking lot shall be expanded to the west, over the area which was used for the satellites. We understand the larger concrete satellite pads are 36" deep and will remain in place and under the new concrete pavement. The parking lot shall include a combination of standard and oversized spaces to accommodate, personal employee vehicles, visitors, and the city's own maintenance fleet. The existing on-site retention areas shall be expanded to deal with stormwater management due to the increased impervious surface. The existing catch basins and subsurface drainage system shall be expanded and the new pavement and hardscape shall be designed to drain the site from the surface by properly grading towards the retention areas. New site lighting and video surveillance conduit to be provided to help secure the site together with a new perimeter fence and sliding gate along the roadway. The existing drainage system shall be cleaned in its entirety and work as designed prior to final site plan approval as shown and specified in the Bid documents.Show Less
