PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE OLD POLICE DEPARTMENT BUILDING (ANNEX) RENOVATION

The City of Gilroy is requesting proposals from qualified architectural design professionals (“Consultant”) with experience in renovation work involving existing buildings and structures. The project site is located at the Old Police Department Building (City Hall Annex) at 250 W. 6th Street. Project tasks will include meeting with key stakeholders to discuss project goals, design development as necessary to finalize a conceptual layout, and development of biddable construction documents, specifications, plans, and cost estimates. City staff will assist with applying for and processing the requisite permits for the project. Your submission should clearly demonstrate how your firm’s resources and expertise can meet the needs of this City project. This request for proposals outlines the City's project needs. The project scope of work,
schedule, and desired proposal format is described below. Additional information and a detailed project description are included in Attachment C. The initial phase of the project will include the development of conceptual design plans and cost estimates of the necessary upgrades to remodel the interior of the Old Police Department Building for the purpose of relocating all departments associated with development review for the eventual creation of a development review and approval center. The conceptual plans shall include but not be limited to space planning and layout, ADA accommodations, and entry and exit features. The final plans shall include all necessary (i.e., mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire suppression, seismic, HVAC, data, etc.) renovations into the proposed floor layouts.
