Bid Title:Health Authority for Adult and Juvenile Detention Facilities Category:Health Authority for Adult & Juvenile Detention FacilitiesStatus:OpenBid Recipient:Churchill County Clerk/Treasurer's Office Description: Churchill County is requesting proposals from physicians licensed in the State of Nevada and other qualified health care professionals interested in providing outpatient medical care and overseeing the distribution of medications to adult inmates detained at the Churchill County Adult Detention Facility and to juveniles detained at Teurman Hall, a secure detention facility within the Churchill County Juvenile Justice Center.The successful applicant will contract as an independent contractor with Churchill County to act as the health authority and to provide outpatient medical services to adults and juveniles that are in custody at the Churchill County Adult Detention Facility and Teurman Hall ("facilities"). The successful applicant will provide services to include

on-site health care oversite, distribution of medications, direct medical services, and coordination of off-site medical care, hospitalization, and other services as needed. The successful applicant will be responsible for the performance of all the obligations under the contract and in complying with the standards and directives set forth in the National Commission on Correctional Health Care's most recent manuals for adults and juveniles. The successful applicant will ensure that the facilities maintain a coordinated system for health care delivery.Churchill County's intent is to enter into a one-year contract that may be extended based on the performance of the contract and services provided.
