Director of FinanceCity of Neenah, WIThe City of Neenah is seeking a Director of Finance.The purpose of this position is to serve as the Chief Financial Officer for the City and City-owned utilities; position fulfills the capacities of the required state statutory positions of City Comptroller and City Treasurer. Responsible to plan, guide and direct City financial management and fiscal affairs including planning, accounting, reporting, control, debt and investment activities and related staff supervision. Responsible for Assistant Comptroller and Assistant Treasurer’s duties according to applicable ordinances and statutes. The work is performed under the general direction of the Mayor and Common Council.Responsibilities :Plans, recommends and implements fiscal policies and procedures regarding accounting controls, investment portfolio management and fiscal coordination. Plans, develops, recommends and implements all City capital financing programs.Supervises Finance Department
activities and personnel.Attends all Common Council and Finance and Personnel Committee meetings. Directs City managers/department heads on budget planning and control policies. Directs payroll preparation, initial audits on claims against the City, deferred compensation, casualty insurance programs, central administrative services, parking fine collection, and office supply and administrative equipment purchasing.Read the Job Description for further detail. Requirements :Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.Five years progressively responsible municipal finance experience with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience. CPA required.Municipal government experience preferred, not required.Compensation and Benefits:The salary range for the position is $87,577 to $106,164. Starting salaries above the midpoint of $106,164 require Common Council approval.
