1500# Leslie Steam Control Valve Evaluation and Repair

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a fixed price servcise contract, on a sole source basis, to Leslie Control Inc. in Tampa, FL for a quantity of one (1) Leslie Steam Valve, 8B7A2CHH P/N 21839N-5  NSN: 4820-01-367-5591. The Leslie Steam Valve is  used to control flow of steam for TC13-0, TC13-2 catapult operations .The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."   The Government does not own the data rights and a competitive drawing package for this effort is not available.This notification is not a request for competitive proposals.  However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.  A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  No solicitation will be available for this
