A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held beginning at 10 AM, August 16th, 2022, at the Battle Bridge Road Tunnel location (Battle Bridge Road just south of the entrance to the Wake County Law Enforcement Training Center). Following the visit at Battle Bridge Road we will proceed to the Greenway Trail System tunnel under Glen Eden Drive and then to the tunnel under Lake Boone Trail. Requirements for pre-bid submittals of an “or-equal” are required within days 21 of the issuance of the Advertisement for Bids and in accordance with Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders. The Project consists generally of the following major items: Installation of a meter base and necessary cabinetry to allow Duke Energy Progress to install a new electrical service adjacent to each tunnel location. Installation of the lighting components as specified in the bidding documents. Please note that the lighting components are standardized across all City of Raleigh Greenway Tunnel locations, so the specified components must be used.
