Hargett St.; Raleigh, NC 27602; Suite 605, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the installation of lighting in Greenway Trail System Tunnels located at Battle Bridge Road, Glen Eden Drive
and Lake Boone Trail. After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the Bid Form for the performance of the Contract. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held beginning at 10 AM, August 16th, 2022, at the Battle Bridge Road Tunnel location (Battle Bridge Road just south of the entrance to the Wake County Law Enforcement Training Center). Following the visit at Battle Bridge Road we will proceed to the Greenway Trail System tunnel under Glen Eden Drive and then to the tunnel under Lake Boone Trail. Requirements for pre-bid submittals of an “or-equal” are required within days 21 of the issuance of the Advertisement for Bids and in accordance with Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders. The Project consists generally of the following major items: Installation of a meter base and necessary cabinetry to allow Duke Energy Progress to install a new electrical service adjacent to each tunnel location. Installation of the lighting components as specified in the bidding documents. Please note that the lighting components are standardized across all City of Raleigh Greenway Tunnel locations, so the specified components must be used.
