(SSLC) (the “ Project”), in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Solicitation. 2.1 Project Location, Summary, and BudgetProject Location: Austin State Supported Living Center2203 West 35 th St.Austin, TX 78703 Project Summary: The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following:The bid items shall be subdivided into the base bid and alternates as indicated on the drawings and described below.BASE BID: a. Strip coating from portico limestone elements to expose limestone surface conditions for observation by Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc.b. Design, provide, and install temporary shoring for portico to enable the repair of existing columns and lintels as required. This will include monitoring the structure to ensure that no movement within the framing is encountered.c. Perform column base removal and replacement - 3 locations and designated exploratory work.d. Reinforce and repair crack in designated limestone lintel - one location.e. Perform column patching and crack repair.f. Install sealant joints at all skyward joints in the limestone pediment, entablature, and stem wall coping.g. Grind and repoint all limestone unit joints at all faces of portico as well as along the east and west eaves of the building. h. Repair designated limestone spalls at one limestone capital and one limestone pilaster.i. Clean and recoat limestone elements.j. Remove added slack in existing tension rods- 3 locations.k. Remove designated tree, various shrubs, and grass within 3 feet of building north side.l. Relocate irrigation system and provide swale and rock mow strip adjacent to building north side.m. Remove, recoat, and reinstall portico rail including replacing top wood rail.n.
