SWR 4 Way Power Dividers for the National Logistics Support Center in Grandview, MO

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for spare Power Dividers for the National Logistics Support Center in Grandview, MO. The Government intends to make an award to the responsive responsible quoter providing the best value in accordance with FAR 13.106-2(B)(3). This is a brand name requirement. Vendors quoting this requirement shall be authorized resellers of SWR products.Brand Name JustificationThe WRX-PD4W-DFNF is required because the power dividers being procured must be form, fix, function and environmentally compatible with the other NWR antenna elements already installed at fielded sites, which are SWR power dividers. The original equipment was subjected to, and required to meet stringent qualification and environment testing requirements. Acceptance of any item other than the SWR brand would require additional extensive testing and qualifiication, which NWS does not have the time nor funding to perform.

Procurement of these spare SWR power dividers is essential to performing it's primary mission, which is protection of life and property. NWR is a primary system for NWS to disseminate severe weather alerts to the public, and to the National Emergency Alert System (EAS). NWS needs to procure spare power dividers that are form, fix, and function drop in replacements for the in service power dividers that also meet and have been tested for operation in our severe environmental conditions.DOC, Eastern Acquisition Division requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
