DESCRIPTIONThe U.S. Army Communications- Electronics Command (CECOM) Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) has a requirement for BAE Systems, Inc. (herein after "BAE") Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) accessories and training, ONLY.The Air Force (AF) is the agency of record for DAGR units and/ or systems. CECOM SAMD can use the AF [contract] to order DAGR units, yet cannot use the AF contract to order accessories or training. Therefore, CECOM SAMD requires a stand-alone contract vehicle to order DAGR accessories and training, ONLY (not the DAGR device, itself).Army Contracting Command- Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) is issuing this Sources Sought synopsis to identify parties with an interest in (and the resources to) provide DAGR accessories produced by BAE. U.S. Government commerce and regulatory authorities directed Collins Aerospace divest DAGR product line(s); BAE purchased the divested DAGR product line(s). Therefore, ACC-APG intends to award an
Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract to BAE for DAGR accessories and training, ONLY (to exclude the DAGR device, itself). Award is proposed on the sole-source basis, such that only BAE can provide DAGR accessories when total form/ fit/ function compatibility with ex-Collins product(s) is/ are required. This Sources-Sought announcement seeks alternative providers able to supply accessories that are form/ fit/ function compatible with DAGR devices, such as cables, antennas, and batteries. Also required are operator and unit level maintenance training services for DAGR at world-wide outside the continental United States (OCONUS) locations.TECHNICALNote: CECOM SAMD does not possess design details or technical data package(s) for the required DAGR accessories and items, as follows. All accessories listed below are compatible with DAGR NSN 822-1873-001 and 822-1873-002.MOUNTS AND CASES- DAGR Installation Mount Part Number (P/N): 987-5006-001 (NSN 5975-01-521-3063)Used to install the DAGR in a host platform; Secures DAGR with metal spring loaded plungers; Clearance provided for data, antenna and power cables; Key fill port accessible while in mount if keyfill adapter bracket and cable are installed; see accessories below for part numbers.
