The Caldor Fire impacted approximately twenty-two (22) miles of County maintained roads leaving approximately one thousand two hundred (1,200) to one thousand eight hundred (1,800) hazardous trees that are eligible for removal under Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) guidelines. The County is conducting recovery efforts and an arborist contracted with the County is currently evaluating and identifying the hazardous trees which is near completion. The County will subsequently enter into a hazardous tree removal agreement with a contractor to remove and dispose of the debris. Firms must have and demonstrate their experience in providing professional biological tree removal monitoring services (experience with California local governments is desirable). The County will award one (1) agreement to the top-ranked Proposer resulting from this competitive process to perform the professional biological tree removal monitoring services as described herein. This Request for Proposal (RFP) includes a description of the evaluation and selection process, scope of work, proposal requirements, and insurance requirements.
