The County of Accomack is seeking
sealed bids from qualified, Virginia licensed contractors for construction to be performed at the County’s Administration Building at 23296 Courthouse Avenue, Accomac, VA 23301. 
This IFB is for
remodeling of restrooms on the first floor to meet the building code for ADA accessibility.  The project includes interior demolition of existing restrooms, relocation of doorways and plumbing, installation of new plumbing fixtures, restroom accessories, flooring, ceiling, and interior finishes. New restrooms will be constructed according to the construction drawings by Via Design. 
Demolition is to be performed after 5:00 PM Monday - Friday, or on weekends.  On regular monthly scheduled meeting nights, work on this project may not be done. 
Certain aspects

of the project may be completed during normal work-week hours provided any noise from construction does not interrupt the flow of work in the building.   
A non-mandatory prebid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 3
rd beginning promptly at 8:00 AM.  Interested contractors should gather on the front steps of the building.

Sealed bids may be delivered to the Accomack County Administration Building at 23296 Courthouse Ave., Suite 203, Accomac, VA 23301
or may be mailed to the Accomack County Finance Office, c/o Lucy Huffman, P.O. Box 620 Accomac, VA 23301
until Thursday May 19, 2022  at 4:00 PM. 
All bids received by the due date and time will be publicly opened and read aloud at 4:15 PM on same day via “Zoom” meeting.  Bids received after the due date and time will be returned unopened. Interested parties wishing to join the live bid opening must request login information via email at
lhuffman@co.accomack.va.us.      
Withdrawal of Bids shall be according to procedure § 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia, as amended.  Bidders must be licensed as a Contractor in the Commonwealth of Virginia, as required, and the Bidder’s attention is directed to the requirements of Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia.
The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to contact any Bidder prior to award for explanations or clarifications.  The County does not discriminate against any Bidder on any basis.
