This is NOT a request for proposals or quotes and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. This sources sought is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for quotes or proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. This sources sought notice has been issued to survey the market to identify possible sources for consideration. This notice is to assist the US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) in determining potential sources. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award.The Fish and Wildlife Service is conducting market research to seek sources that have the capability to conduct a study on geomorphology and sediment in Black Draw Channel on the refuge. For full details see attached draft performance work statement.Background: Efforts are being undertaken to further assess resources and actions on, and nearby the refuge, as they relate to the ground water and water recharge. Data gained from these efforts will be utilized to inform refuge management actions as they relate to stream and Cienega restoration efforts. Geomorphology and sediment research in Black Draw has been identified as a need to document how past and ongoing actions impact the hydrology of the channel.Place of performance: The work will be performed near San Bernardino NWR. The job site is approximately 15 miles east of Douglas, Arizona, on a graded dirt road. The nearest facilities are located in
