REQUEST FOR BIDS/INVITATION FOR BIDS CITY OF KEARNEY, NEBRASKA KEARNEY REGIONAL AIRPORT (EAR) TERMINAL EXPANSION FURNITURE, FIXTURES, AND EQUIPMENT AIP Project No: 3-31-0045-036 Sealed bids will be received by the Owner, the City of Kearney, Nebraska, at the City Clerk’s Office, at City Hall, 18 East 22nd Street, Kearney, NE 68848 until 2:00 p.m. local time, on Thursday, September 1, 2022, and then publicly opened and read aloud, for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work necessary for completing the “Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment”. In general, the improvements on which bids are requested will require the following items: • Lounge furniture • Tandem seating power accessories • Trash receptacles • Desking • Task Chairs All products and manufacturers shall be as specified in the bid documents. Substitutions will be considered but must be available in all specified finish options. Actual furniture samples of substitutions, with appropriate features
and finishes need to be available within 48 hours upon request. All products shall be as specified in the Bid Documents. Immediately notify Wilkins Architecture Design Planning L.L.C upon finding discrepancies or omissions in the Bid Documents. A pre-bid meeting may be conducted at if deemed necessary by owner. The walk-through will be open to all Vendors and Sub-Vendors. Attendance by each Vendor or representative is not required. All bidders are required to make a careful, close examination of the entire building after bid is awarded and prior to ordering. Take field measurements as required. Where portions of the work are indicated to fit to other construction, verify dimensions prior to ordering. All items to be delivered by the specified date from the off-site storage facility. Delivery times and location will be coordinated with Jim Lynaugh, Airport Manager, City of Kearney. A portion of the invoice will be deducted from the final payments if all items are not received in time. All proposals submitted in accordance with the instructions presented herein will be subject to evaluation. Bids may be held by the City of Kearney, Nebraska for a period not to exceed ninety (90) calendar days mailto:cambrosier@wilkinsadp.com from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. The Owner will make award to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming with all material terms and conditions of the bid documents, is the lowest responsive and responsible bid, in the best interest of the Owner. Each Bid Form should be submitted to be all inclusive of fees, freight, permits, delivery inspection, insurance etc. as outlined in the Specifications and Bidding Instructions. Each Vendor shall submit a bid for ALL items included in the Specifications, or equal substitution. The Owner intends to award the package as a whole "Basis of Award". Failure to acknowledge the above terms, may qualify the Vendor as unresponsive. DBE Requirement: This project is subject to the requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation. The Owner has established a 0.00% DBE contract goal for this project. The Owner’s award of this contract is conditioned upon Bidder or Offeror satisfying the good faith effort requirements of 49 CFR §26.53 Civil Rights – Title VI Notice The City (Owner) is an equal opportunity employer and requires all contractors and consultants to comply with all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.
